For example, during my first trimester I could not get enough pickles. I would come home from school, bust open a jar of pickles and go to town. And I’m not talking about the chips, I’m talking about the big ones the size of hot dogs. We literally went through jars of pickles. NOW, I can’t stand pickles. Just writing about them makes me feel pretty nauseous. Michael, being the amazing husband that he is, realizing my new love for pickles stocked up so now we have a plethora of pickles that I’m not touching. So – anyone need some extra pickles?
Next, up and down moment – Michael and I saw The Help (towards the end of my first trimester), which is an absolutely phenomenal movie and obvious tearjerker right? Yeah…was not expecting to get emotional before the movie during the Dolphin Tale preview. Okay, so let’s rewind just a bit. I had heard all sorts of wonderful things about The Help and was so excited all day and was ecstatic by the time we actually arrived at the theater. I was very happy UNTIL the random Dolphin Tale preview. Michael looked over at me when he heard my sniffles and stared at me in pure shock. Michael – “Um…I didn’t know you liked animals that much.” Kylie – “I don’t.” Michael – “Why are you crying?” Kylie – “I don’t know. Quit looking at me.”
Alright, last fun example I’m going to share. Michael and I love BYU sports and we adore BYU Basketball (I even capitalized it). We watch every game, attend every home game, and live and die with each win and loss. This Saturday the boys played Santa Clara. We arrived to the game a little early because we like to watch the players warm up and make pre-game synopses of how we think the game will go, who will be the player of the game, etc. Sadly, after about the first 5 minutes of the game I was ready to go home. The strong foul aromas in the Marriot Center were enough to make me want to puke all over the row in front of us. I shared this desire with Michael and he obviously was very distraught and confused – “You love BYU basketball!? The game just started!” My wise husband compromised and bought me a sprite (which I’ve learned soothes my sickly stomach), I breathed through my mouth instead of my nose, and we stayed and enjoyed the rest of the game (which we won).
So in summary, pregnancy thus far - I "change my mind like a girl changes clothes", my husband is a champ, and we love our baby! :)

Loved your story Kylie, any woman who has been pregnant knows exactly what you're talking about.
