Give Thanks

Thanksgiving is such a special time of year. I love that this holiday soley focuses on the quality of gratitude (and let's be honest, it's also a perk that it is socially acceptable to pig out). Michael & I recognize that the virtue of gratitude is so significant in creating a life of happiness.

Speaking of gratitude President Monson said, "We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues."

There is always so much to be grateful for.
  • First and foremost, I am grateful for Michael. Being married to a good man - who could ask for more?
  • I am grateful for family - we both have been blessed to be raised by wonderful parents and to have AMAZING, supportive siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.
  • I am grateful for friends and neighbors - we seriously have been so blessed to have great friends.
  • I am grateful for health - often I think the only time I really recognize and appreciate my health is when I have been sick BUT how blessed I am to have good health
  • I feel like I should also add that I am grateful for Wendy's 99 cent menu, specifically their chicken nuggets and frostys. I have developed a deep love and appreciation for good, fast, cheap food... :)
  • This may be a stretch but I think I should give a shout out to education. Although it's not always "fun" I am grateful to be getting a masters degree at BYU. I am grateful to learn and grow and to experience all the wonderful opportunities that come with learning.
  • I am grateful that Michael and I are financially stable. We both have good jobs that we enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving today and everyday!
