Yummy!!!
My mom is one of the best cooks I know. She can make anything! and she can make anything taste good. If I had to choose between my mom or Martha Stewart's cooking I would choose my mom hands down!
I absolutely love my mom's cinnamon rolls. How she makes them taste so deliciously wonderful is quite a mystery. Well, today Michael and I decided to make cinnamon rolls for the very first time. It was really fun! I used the same recipe as my mom but as we were making them deep down in my heart I wondered if we could possibly make them to be quite as scrumptious as my mother...when Michael and I tried them he got a big smile on his face and said "These just might be just as good as your mom's!" I couldn't believe it! To even think that I made something even close to comparison to my mom makes me very happy!!

Happy New Year!!!
We are excited for a new year! 2009 was a very interesting year for us. We had great times and difficult times and have learned a lot. We are excited for what 2010 will bring.
For New Years Eve we went out to eat at Gringo's and then relaxed at home.
New green sled, $5.00... Maliqu's gloves that Kylie borrowed, Free...Sledding on New Years with 5 inches of new snow that gets down my pants down a dangerous hill with Kylie landing on me, PRICELESS!
HAPPY 2010!!!

Tis the Season to be Jolly!
What a very merry Christmas! We spent this Christmas in Caldwell with the Bair's! On Christmas Eve we played bingo with cousins, aunts, and uncles and won some pretty sweet prizes!
On Christmas morning we woke up before dawn and started opening presents. I couldn't believe the piles of presents! We spent the day eating good food, playing games as a family, and our favorite thing was probably playing the new Mario game on the Wii.

We spent Christmas evening in Burley with the Barrus bunch. It was fun seeing our little nephews open presents, especially Eli. He loved the wrapping paper and tried putting it in his mouth.
We are so grateful for our families! They take such good care of us. Although we got some great gifts, the best part was being able to spend time with those we love!

Salt Lake Surprise!
For Christmas I decided to surprise Michael and take him to Salt Lake! We had so much fun!
We did some last minute shopping at the gateway mall, enjoyed Temple Square, and had lots of good food!
One of the highlights was going through the Salt Lake Temple. It was a really beautiful, special experience!

My Wife Graduated!!!!!!!!
After years of work, blood, sweat, and tears, Kylie Meeshel graduated! I just want to say how very proud I am of my wife and how grateful I am that she received her Bachelor's.
Kylie's convocation took place in the Taylor building. We were sitting back quite a ways and some guy behind us said, "Now that sure is a big smile!"
We are grateful for all of our family that were there to support Kylie. It made the celebration very special to have people we care about so much there also.
Kylie and I decided to sing in the choir together. This made it so we could sit next to each other during commencement. I found out that I'm probably a tenor and that Kylie has a beautiful voice. Fortunately there were many others to cover my singing voice. We had a lot of fun and are still going around singing, "HALLELUJAH!"
I'm proud of my wife for what she has done. She is glowing in this picture.

Spotlight of the Week!
This is my good ol' husband Michael Quinn! He is incredibly special and there are so many reasons why I love him. He is a great cook, helps clean around the house, updates our blog, is super organized and tidy, is a hard-worker, is fantastic with kids, smart, takes good care of me when I'm sick, laughs at my jokes...but the best thing has got to be that he loves me too!
Another one of my favorite things about Michael is he makes GREAT faces! These are just a few of them. I love being silly with Michael and having fun.
Some fun facts about my Michael: 1. He LOVES BSU, he is there #1 fan 2. He HATES cold feet and always wears socks! 3. He likes doing Family History 4. He one time tried to grow a mustache...haha! 5. Our Family and Friends are all Invited!

PARTAY!
As school is coming to an end, Kylie's graduating social work class decided to end with a little PARTAY. The night started with a fun dinner at Olive Garden in Idaho Falls. It was nice to talk to everyone and see see what their plans were after graduation.
Our amazing professors also came and helped pay for the bill! After dinner we went to Brother Hay's house for some pie. It was a really fun night!
Social Workers at Work!
This semester Kylie is doing her internship at Madison Memorial Hospital. She and her friend Jessica organized a service project to make baby blankets for the NICU babies and single mothers there.

It was held on a Saturday morning and we had a pretty good turn out. A lot of people from the Social Work program showed up to help. Michael not only helped make the blankets but also did some extra service on his own and made muffins for everyone!

GRAD NIGHT
As graduation approaches, Michael and I had the opportunity to attend Grad Night. It was a special night held in the Taylor building on campus. Graduates had the opportunity to bring family and friends and listen to President Clark give advice as we go out into the world with our degrees. We had a fun time reminiscing with friends and fellow graduates.

Networking

I've been looking for a job for a while and am not having the luck I was hoping for. I received the suggestion to hang some posters to try and get the word out more. I thought I'd put a post on our blog for the few out there that might view it. I'm looking for just about anything. Full time would be nice. The Rexburg area would be most ideal, but if it was towards Idaho Falls that could possibly work.
I have experience with lawn care, freight, custodial, maintenance, pharmacy, and supervising. I type about 70 words per minute. I enjoy designing announcements, business cards, posters, etc. I know how to use Microsoft and Adobe programs.
I'd also appreciate a snow shoveling job, putting up or taking down Christmas lights, cleaning garages or windows. Just about anything you can think of.
I'm a psychology major with 12 credits left to graduate.
If you have any ideas, leads, friends or family that might know of any opportunities let me know.
Thank!!! Michael

Have you ever been hit by a car?
Have you ever been hit by a car? It is an experience that not too many people can say they have had. I am not talking car hitting car either. I am talking car hitting the human. Well, my wife can join the club now.
Kylie parked her car in the Ricks parking lot on campus. She was walking through the parking lot. The weather conditions: freezing cold, icy, and snowy. In the blink of an eye, Kylie found herself lying on the ground.
It is not exactly clear what happened since it happened so fast and I wasn't around to witness/kick a dent in the car that hit her. But apparently this car was driving and the side of the car hit Kylie and knocked her over. Kylie got up, opened their door, and said, "Hey...you just hit me." Then they finally decided to ask if she was ok and Kylie said she had to get to class. She felt weird. She ran into her teacher and he asked how her day was. He sent her home.
We went to the doctor. Kylie didn't have a concussion, but is left with a sore arm which is where the contact took place, a slight headache, and a sore butt. Wait till tomorrow morning!
The frequent phrase that is now being used by Kylie..."Give me a break, I just got hit by a car." This one could last for a while.
In a recent interview with Kylie I asked her what advice she had for those people out there that walk. She said, "Live long and prosper!"
To me it was sound advice. Good luck to all those people that walk out there.

In the Spirit of Thanksgiving
There are many things that we are grateful for. We are grateful for each other and our life together. We are grateful for our family. We are grateful for our home, for our opportunities, and for our experiences. We are grateful for our relationship with God.
